We are looking for alumni who like editing to help us review the capstones sent our way to ensure a high-quality student academic journal. What would you be doing? Expect to review and edit around three papers per year in the field of your major (and, if relevant, minor).&nbsp; You will have two weeks to review a paper.What's in it for you? Increased competency in editing and thus writing academic works. A fun extracurricular for your CV. An opportunity to expand your social network. After a two-year pause in publications, ESAJ is back and ready to continue publishing EUC students’ capstones, essays and papers. It is the hope of the board that ESAJ will allow EUC students more space to share their academic papers and essays in order to encourage the culture of sharing and learning that lives at Erasmus University College. It is thus with great joy that we are able to publish eight papers and capstones, all of which deserve to be seen by more people than just the author and the grading professor. In total, this year’s academic journal consists of five capstone theses and three essays. These papers span a variety of subjects and disciplines, reflecting the broad and interdisciplinary nature of Liberal Arts &amp; Sciences itself. We are very grateful to our editorial team, who did a fantastic job at editing the papers and providing in-depth, constructive feedback to the authors. Our thanks go out to all our editors: Clara Xi Mediavilla Varas, Elise Deutz, Gijs Winkelhuijzen, Helena Wilkins, Julia Eikelenboom, Julia Gleijm, Moritz Rödel, Myrthe Bark, Noa de Kievit, Noni Castle, Regina Yglesias Guemez, Robert Yavryan, Sanne Dikenberg and Terri Thahmaz. Similarly, this journal could not exist if not for all the students that submitted their papers and worked on revising their essays and capstones throughout the process of editing. It is through their hard work that we are able to publish this edition. We would also like to thank EUC staff for being so helpful in training and advising our editors, as well as helping us restart the journal in general. Finally, we want to express our gratitude to all the people that submitted a paper to ESAJ. We hope that students stay enthusiastic about the journal and continue to submit their works. To our readers, we hope you will enjoy the journal and that it will spark inspiration, debate and interest.
